Bank Holiday and Postal Strikes.

Please find below an update, in light of the upcoming bank holiday and postal strikes.

Observing the bank holiday, 19th September

We can confirm that our offices will be closed on Monday 19th September to allow our colleagues to pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Our vets, as always, will continue to provide emergency veterinary care over the bank holiday weekend. If you require our veterinary services or advice, please contact the office on 01392 872932 and you will be put through to our out of hours answering service who will re direct you call to your regional vet.

We will also be unable to send any orders on Monday 19th September and any orders sent on Friday 16th will be delivered on Tuesday 20th September unless you request a Saturday delivery.

Royal Mail/Parcelforce strikes

There are further Royal Mail postal strikes on 30th September and 1st October which may result in delays to items being dispatched or due for delivery on those days. Our practice bases do hold some product stock, however, we would advise placing orders in advance to avoid delays.

For vaccine orders, please order vaccines ahead of this time or after the strike dates depending on when they are required. We do not send vaccines on a Friday as standard to avoid delays over the weekend.

For laboratory samples going to St David’s or external labs, please be aware that samples you send may take longer to get there, so take care to factor this into your plans. As many of the samples you send are regulatory, you may not be able to change your sampling dates. You may wish to look into alternative ways of sending your samples during these strikes, such as dropping them off at the laboratory directly, or by using a courier.

We thank you for your patience during this time. As always, our dispensary team are available to answer any queries you may have regarding orders on 01392 872932.
