BSc MVDr MRCVS
Originally from Devon, Sam grew up working on farms where he gained his interest in production animals and poultry. After spending 3 years at the Royal Veterinary College gaining his BioVeterinary degree, Sam then spent 5 years in Kosice, Slovakia to get his veterinary degree returning to the UK in 2017 to take up a role as a farm vet in Carmarthen, after which he returned to the West Country to work as a farm and poultry vet. During this time Sam’s interest in poultry and game birds was reignited and he decided to make the move to St David’s to focus on poultry and game birds.
Within the poultry industry he is interested in disease control, pathology and game birds.
Outside of work Sam likes to try his hand at some DIY, hiking with his border collie called Nero, shooting, scuba diving and cooking.
